Strange you should ask this because for a long time I really wanted to be a zookeeper. I don’t know why – I just really liked the idea of having animals to look after. I still like the idea now but my field (atmospheric physics) isn’t really animal-related, so I’m not sure I’d have the chance.

I too really like the idea of working with animals in a zoo, however my main passion is physics so I would like to work in some area of physics if possible!

I’ve recently thought that if I had to chose a brand new career, zoo keeper would be something I think I would really enjoy. I like animals a lot and really enjoy spending time with them.
I don’t think I’d like to be a vet though, I dont’t think I could operate one them :s! I’d get too upset.

Zookeeper would on the one hand be a great job because I love animals – on the other hand, whenever I go to the zoo I feel very sorry for all these animals in cages. So maybe not the ideal job for me… I might set all the animals free!
