      Fantastic question!

Maths is a science really. There are branches that explore how things move and deform – this is mechanics. You need maths to work out the relationships between different parameters such as velocity, acceleration, displacement, time, mass, gravity. All this is done through mathematical theorem.

Maths is so important when actually doing all science. Maths provides the basics of problem solving. You can always look up equations in a text book, but if you do not know how to solve the problem then you are in trouble! Also, doing science research is only relevant if you can assess how accurate your experiments are, and you do this using statistics (from maths!).

I may be biased but I would say all scientists need a decent grasp of maths.

      And maths is fun! 🙂
