lumping germs, parasites and viruses together, I would say that Malaria is probably the most dangerous, it has killed more people than any other disease
there is strong evidence to suggest that malaria is responsible for the weak economies of many poor countries as it kills so many people and sickens so many others they are unable to work and improve the economic situation of the country
I’d agree with Simon, malaria is really bad. Donating money to malaria charities (to buy nets and things) is one of the cheapest and easiest ways to save someone’s life!
It’s not something I often think about. Proably because I am lucky to live in a country were we don’t need to worry so much about germs.
I think I agree with Simon and Angus, malaria is a very nasty disease and creates a lot of problems for the countries that suffer badly from it.
Sadly, many regions that are affected by malaria are also affected by the HIV pandemic, so I’d have to say HIV is a close second.
I would say cancer – it is not strictly speaking a germ but a disease where the cells of the body turn against the organism. It is so dangerous because we know so little about it, there are so many different forms, and there is not real cure for it in many cases.
