My current favorite rock in the world are some rare types of lavas, that are really old, called Komatiites. I like them because they are so rare and have some unique properties. The minerals inside them make a unique pattern, called a spinifex texture, that looks like lots of little needles and they are often green in colour!

I also really like amber and lava, I have a few pieces of jewelery with them in!

I like Lodestones, they are a naturally magnetized piece of the mineral Magnetite, they were used as the first compasses which allowed us to navigate around, and they are thought to be magnetized from lightning strikes, which is pretty cool in my opinion!

I like agates – if you find them in the field, they don’t look like much, but their inside contains the most beautiful crystals and colours. The inside matters 🙂
