• Question: What is the most common sedimentary rock?

      Depends on where in the world you are looking and if we are just talking about the surface.

      Maybe sandstone? I actually have no idea.

      My intuition would tell me that sedimentary rocks like limestone would be eroded more easily…maybe :0

      I think there are many common types, and they tend to be found in different amounts in different places, I would guess at limestone and shale myself

      This is a good question!

      I’m thinking sandstone like Hannah, the softer sedimentary rocks like limestone wouldn’t be as long lasting, I don’t think.

      I think it really does depend where in the world you look for them though!

      I would say sandstone and shale. Sandstone because it can be very weathering-resistant, shale because it is formed in most of the deep-sea environments.
