• Question: is it true if you keep your head upside down enough than your vision will turn the right way up?

it’s not technically true, but the brain *does* compensate, there have been many experiments where people have worn special glasses that flip the image upside down, after a few days, the brain learns to compensate and essentially ‘get used’ to the vision being upside down

it then takes a short while for the brain to re-re-adjust when the glasses are removed!

It’s really interesting that the brain knows which way is up and down. I wonder whether it has to learn this or not? Perhaps the brains of babies haven’t learned which way is up yet so they don’t compensate. I don’t know!

Really interesting question! Not something I’d though about!
Thanks Simon for a great answer, I’ve learnt something new today :)!

You would always see things upside down, but as Simon says, your brain will compensate. Like if for some reason, you had to turn the car wheel to the left to go right, and vice versa, your brain would get used to it and would just do it automatically 🙂
