The earth was made from the cloud of debris left when our sun formed, around the sun there was a large disk of rocks, dust, ice and gas, over many millions of years, the dust began to condense under the influence of gravity, it slowly clumped together.

As the clump grew bigger, its gravity increased, pulling yet more material in, when it began to get quite big, the pressure began to heat it up internally, the earth was very hot and molten in its early days! as it was liquid, heavier elements sank beneath denser ones, hence why the densest materials like iron, make up the majority of the core of the earth

Eventually the earth began to cool, radiating a great deal of its internal heat into space, the surface solidified, and it is believed that huge comets of ice crashed into the planet, bringing water and oceans

then came an atmosphere, primordial life, complex life and in a few short billions of years, the internet and I’m a scientist, get me out of here!
