      It was the character that Pierce Brosnan played in the film Dantes Peak.His name in the was Harry Dalton. Harry is a geologist who works for the United States Geological Survey and he is sent to a little town on the foothills of a volcano because strange things are happening. He collects lots of evidence that the volcano is about to erupt and that the town is in danger, but no one believes him. In the end the volcano does erupt and he has to help evacuate everyone from the town.

      It inspired me because it showed what a difference a geologist can make! I now know that not everything in the film is true, but it showed me how exciting being a geologist can be!
