The problem is, sometimes the strange results are my own fault. I once made a mistake setting it up and, after waiting a month for it to finish, discovered my results were useless! Science can be frustrating sometimes.
So the first thing I do when I see a strange result is to check I haven’t made a mistake. If I am sure I haven’t, the strange results are really exciting! Who wants to only get obvious results? The only way we learn anything new in science is explaining strange results, so I like getting them. Sometimes they’re very difficult to understand, but that’s way scientists are for!
