It depends entirely on the project in question, sometimes I work alone or with 1-2 other people, other times I work in a large team of 9-10, it depends entirely on the requirements of a particular project and how much I need to contribute my particular skills 🙂

I have a supervisor who I work with, but also I speak to a lot of people about my work and we have great discussions about the data processing and the results. Science is a team effort 🙂

I am a PhD student and I have two supervisors who advise me and make sure I’m not being stupid ;). We also have several research groups who I sometimes present my work to. Research groups give comments on how to improve my work. Nowadays it’s very rare for someone to work on their own!

I always try to cooperate with lots of colleagues on my projects. My field of research, which is about climate reconstruction, requires to get together as many different disciplines as possible to get to the bottom of the issue.

I work closely with my supervisor on my particular PhD project. There is no one else in my lab who is doing research similar to my own. However, we are all geomagentist so for generic questions and advice there are 8 other people I can go to for support in my lab.
