I live and work in Reading, which isn’t a particularly exciting town. It’s alright, but nothing special. What is special about it is that it has the Department of Meteorology, one of the top centres in the world for weather and climate research! I love the department. There are so many experts here, which is great because if I have a question there is always someone to ask. We also have a really great social scene. In fact, tomorrow is our annual barbecue and barn dance! Hopefully the weather won’t be too rainy. The last couples of years we had to have it inside 🙁

I live and work in Liverpool.
I really like Liverpool as a city, I’ve been here for 10 years now and feel really at home!
I also like the University and lab where I work at. The people are very friendly and the equipment I get to use is top class.
I must admit, I’m a little jealous of Angus’ barn dance though, that sounds like a lot of fun!

I live in Leicester and work in Nottingham, both nice cities in my humble opinion, both have lots of history and nice countryside

I work at the British Geological Survey and it’s a great place to work, full of exciting experiements, fancy gadgets and friendly, clever people, I really enjoy working there!

Newcastle rules! Great town, very nice people, close to the coast, some nice countryside around, good public transport system, loads of pubs and restaurants – and, most importantly, my girlfriend is also living there 🙂
