• Question: do you do videos to explain your work????

      I haven’t done one yet. I’m not very good on camera! But perhaps I should give one a go. I like to write about my work in blogs, which I find much easier than speaking on camera. My university offers media training courses and I keep meaning to go on one because I know it will be really useful, but I haven’t got round to it yet.

      my plan if I win is to make a video to show off some of the things I work on to try and get young scientists interested and engaged and thinking about a career in science and technology, I’ve not made any videos yet however!

      Yes I have done.

      I have a movie that shows my results in 3D, as often it is difficult to explain 3D effects in figures (as these are only 2D).

      I have always recorded a oral podcast. Not a movie obviously. But it requires a similar amount of work and editing.
