It can be frustrating how precise and exact science needs to be. But it’s important that it’s like that, otherwise it wouldn’t be useful!

Actually, there are a number of things that could be improved around the way science is practised nowadays.

First, getting funding to do the research you like is getting harder and harder.
As more and more people are competing for less and less money, the competition is getting more intense – competition instead of collaboration.
And then there are still some weird people who regard themselves as something better just because they are doing fancy science.

But, overall, the positive things are still in the majority by far 🙂

I don’t dislike science in it’s purest form, the idea of asking questions and answering them by invesitgating different hypotheses – how could you not like that?
However, being a scientist isn’t always easy, it is becoming very diffucult, like Chris points out, to get funding to do research. Often, you have to prove that the question you are trying to answer is relevant to everyday life and that isn’t always the case. It can be very difficult to fund research. As a result, it can be difficult for young scientis to get jobs (but that is true of many fields at the moment, not just science) and contracts are also often short term 1-3 years. These are things you need to think about when thinking of having a career in research, but it shouldn’t put you off! Science is awesome and there are many opportunities out there for people passionate about science!
